Welcome to our class website, and thanks for taking the time to learn a little more about our classroom. Let me tell you a little about myself.
The 2016-17 school year is my nineteenth year teaching at Cherry Tree. Some of you may know that Cherry Tree used to house single grade levels as well as a multi-age school. My first eleven years at Cherry Tree were spent in our multi-age school where I began teaching 1st-3rd grades and later moved to 4th-5th grades. I taught as part of the 5th grade team at Cherry Tree for 6 years. This is my 2nd year working with our 4th/5th grade Challenge Class.
I am a proud graduate of Carmel Clay Schools, as well as Valparaiso University where I completed my undergraduate studies, and IUPUI where I earned my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I serve as a Lead Teacher as well as the CT Webmaster.
Besides chatting about teaching and our amazing class, I'm always happy to tell stories about my own beautiful children, Wesley (7) and Lidia (5)! The kids and I love the fact that we're all at the same school together! I find so much joy in watching them grow and learn. We live in Noblesville and enjoy taking bike rides, reading, cooking, and playing together.
